We are now on our Christmas break.
We wish all library customers past and present a wonderful festive season and we hope to see you when we return on Friday 4th January 2019.
We love seeing photos of our slings out on their adventures! If you have any festive pics you’d like to share (and give us permission to use for social media purposes), please do so on our Facebook page or by email.
What, where, when and who runs the library
Sale Sling Library is a well established, busy sling library run by Infant Carrying Consultant Hazel Spencer and her team of Peer Supporter and Consultant volunteers. We are highly qualified and insured. Having worked with hundreds of parents and children means we have extensive knowledge and experience in helping you choose the right sling.
Our sling library sessions allow you to try before you buy to find the sling that works best for you and your family. We believe that there is a sling for everyone, no matter what your circumstance, and can help you on your path to confidently carrying your child.
At Sale Sling Library we can help you use a carrier safely, comfortably and with enjoyment.
The sling library is held every Friday 10am-1pm in the Community Space at Tesco Extra in Altrincham.

The Library provides a free information service on all aspects of carrying your child in a sling or carrier, with advice from trained and experienced Infant Carrying Consultants and Peer Supporters.
We offer the opportunity to hire carriers for a small fee to ‘try before you buy’ and are able to recommend retailers and provide discount codes for library customers.
We also can sell directly at a discounted price a small selection of the slings we hire.
Sale Sling Library @Altrincham
We are here to help the parents of South Manchester find the best sling to carry their children safely and comfortably.
How does it work?
Come along to one of our library sessions where you can enjoy some free refreshments, friendly chat with like-minded people and play with our collection of slings.
We will be there to offer advice, answer any questions or to help with any of the library slings, or your own if you wish to bring it along.
The slings will be available for demonstrations and fittings (including trying with one of our demo dolls) during the session and also to hire for a rental period of your choice for which there is a small rental fee and fully refundable deposit payable.
How much does it cost?
Sling hire fees are £5 per week.
In order to rent a sling from us we do ask you to leave a deposit which is refunded to you in full once the sling has been returned. The value of the deposit is £40 per sling.
For a one time donation to the library get half price sling hire and no deposits to pay – read more
